My journey as a Lighthouse began back in 2008, when I met Karina. Back then, I was truly lost in a turbulent, emotional sea. Over the course of the following two years, I was navigating a crossroads in my marriage and the failing of a friend’s business that I deeply believed in. I had literally nowhere to turn for comfort, as I didn’t feel close enough to any friends that I could share this pain with. Even though The lighthouses and I didn’t know each other very well back then, they were able to give me some solace through their kindness and support. Fast forward to 2019. The lighthouses and I had not been in touch for years, when I was guided to reach out to them once again. I was still in my marriage, although not thriving. I always had a sense that I wanted more from my life. I didn’t know what that was, but I knew it was more than I currently had. So Karina and I had a conversation in which she explained to me the Lighthouse experience. From the very first session, I knew this is something I needed in my life. After a year, I knew enough of what I wanted that I was able to take steps towards finding true happiness in my life. During the next two years, The lighthouses would help me navigate the dissolution of my marriage, moving twice to two different states, and begin training as a Lighthouse. In going through my process of remembering my authentic self, I am honored to guide others who my not remember who they are and the power they have over their own lives. “My name is Santiago Ibarra, I am 23 years old, I am a gay and, I assumed myself as such at 19. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I am a graphic designer and my hobby is tattooing, I like everything related to art.
Six months ago I met The lighthouses . They were recommended to me by a person I love very much, because he knew I was having a bad time and he believed that The lighthouses could help me.
I think I always avoid the possibility of getting better, of healing, of helping myself, They came into my life when I had really hit rock bottom.

“My name is Lumturije Arifi-Ameti. I am a 33-year-old female, married to an amazing man with two beautiful children. My occupation is a pharmacist at CVS pharmacy, where I have dedicatedly worked for over 10 years.
I am Albanian, and my name Lumturije in Albanian, means happy, which ironically was something I had lost over the years while searching for some truth in my life. This is also how I ended up having a lighthouse experience, I was unhappy and looking for light and truth and some coherence in all that was happening in my life.
The Lighthouse experience made me feel very comfortable, and I got the sense that was someone I could trust. I decided to open up to different possibilities to approach life and change some behavioral problems. From day one, I couldn’t stop speaking in our encounters, it was so liberating.
What I feel while having a Lighthouse experience is having a burden taken off of me. Just to have someone you can open up to and not judge you and just listen is helpful and makes me feel relieved after. I feel relaxed and at ease sharing my problems and trying to find solutions, learning how to use the tools, and applying them. I can take on the day by having someone to listen and guide me. Also learning to see that I am my own Guide, my own Light and that I can take on the day with my strength and knowledge.
